Directed by Sofia Aedo Zahou, Unsaid (Osagt) is an experimental short film born from a simple yet profound question: “Is there something you wish you had said to someone you once loved and lost—something you left unsaid?” What began as an Instagram post quickly evolved into an outpouring of anonymous confessions—short, heartfelt expressions of regret, love, sorrow, and fear.
Originally commissioned for an exhibition at Botkyrka Art Gallery in Stockholm, the film invites viewers to reflect on their own unspoken words in a meditative black box setting. Premiered online at Nowness in 2024.

"You could say that the film is an abstract visual portrayal of these anonymous confessions that were shared with me with little to no context but that I felt communicated so much even if some of them were simply just a short sentence".

Osagt is directed by Sofia Aedo Zahou, a Stockholm-based film director and still photographer. Born and raised in Stockholm, with roots in Chile and Greece, she spent much of her childhood reflecting on themes such as identity and belonging - themes that would later become central to her artistic expression.
